Plaid's Assets product involves two key billing events: the successful creation of an Asset Report and the retrieval of an Asset Report PDF.
Once an Asset Report has been successfully generated within our system a billing event will be triggered. This event is initiated when you make a request to our /asset_report/create endpoint. If the request results in the successful creation of an Asset Report, that's when billing occurs. However, if the request doesn't result in the successful generation of an Asset Report, you will not be billed. It's important to note that the billing event is triggered by the successful creation of the Asset Report, rather than the initial API request to our /asset_report/create endpoint.
If you choose to generate an Assets report by using our /asset_report/pdf/get endpoint, another billing event will be triggered.
