A Known Issue is a problem Plaid is already aware of. Known Issues appear in the Plaid Dashboard so you can quickly see whether the behavior your user is experiencing is already being tracked — no need to open a support case.
Each Known Issue is listed under the error it relates to on the affected institution, and shows:
- A title and unique ID (for example, "Institution is down (KI1005499)")
- Behavior — what your users will experience (for example, "Existing connections will not be able to receive data updates")
- Cause — the underlying reason, where known (for example, "The institution is temporarily down")
- Resolution — recommended next steps or what Plaid is doing to resolve it
- Frequency — how often the issue is occurring, shown as a chart of affected Items over recent days
You can follow a Known Issue to receive updates as Plaid investigates and resolves it. Cases for issues you follow can be filtered separately from your other cases on the Get help page. Note that some Known Issues reflect genuine user errors that Plaid cannot resolve on its own.
