Plaid has implemented new Assets data quality checks in response to customers’ feedback collected over the past year. These checks may trigger the DATA_QUALITY_CHECK_FAILED error, as seen in the Item you provided.
The quality checks assess the completeness and accuracy of data received from financial institutions, and flag situations where these issues would have a significant impact on the result of the product. When we detect potential inconsistencies or inaccuracies, Plaid returns a DATA_QUALITY_CHECK_FAILED error to ensure only reliable data is provided.
An example of the scenario where this error might occur is when Plaid identifies a missing transaction that would result in a customer appearing to have less recurring income than they actually do.
If you receive this error, it indicates that the data does not meet our quality standards and cannot be processed further. Reconnecting the Item or attempting to regenerate the report will not produce different results, as Plaid cannot ensure the accuracy of the input data.
